Open only to individuals and legal entities resident in the EU and Switzerland (“Entrants”). Void elsewhere and where prohibited by law.

Contest Overview

The Contest begins on 08 April 2022 and ends 30 September 2022.

The concept of the Contest is to encourage the “Taking care of each other, society and the environment”. Entrants must submit a project which describes and illustrates how they would draw attention to the most crucial issues in the modern world: focusing on the individual, society and the environment, disrupting today’s precepts based solely on profit.

The Projects will be divided into the following categories:

  • Projects on the environment and recovery within the context of cooperation, and economic and social development;

  • Projects on education (schooling and training);

  • Projects on agriculture and/or infrastructural projects (e.g., the rebuilding of rural communities, use of traditional and indigenous seeds/flowers, new forms of agriculture or green building etc.);

  • Projects on social and cultural aspects;

  • Projects on new ways of doing business, with special attention given to business networks and participatory models; and

  • Projects in the information technology sector that facilitate new ways of doing business and to interact in any field.

The winning Entrant(s) shall win a limited and one-time monetary prize to be used to assist the winner in completing their Project and realising its goals/objectives. If the Entrant is selected and verified as a prize winner in the Contest, the Sponsor will provide limited funding (i.e., the prize) to help the Entrant complete the Project. The Sponsor will not help in the process of the Project being completed – only some and limited monetary support. The Sponsor makes no representation, guarantee or warranty that such monetary support will be sufficient for the winner to complete the Project.

Sponsor’s failure to enforce any provision of these Official Rules in a given instance shall not constitute the waiver of such provision.

Force Majeure

If Sponsor determines in its sole discretion that the Contest – in whole or in part – is delayed, prevented, made inadvisable or illegal or cannot be conducted as originally planned due to any cause beyond its control, (“Force Majeure Event”), Sponsor may cancel, modify or suspend the Contest and make the prize(s) available to be won based on its evaluation of all eligible entries received (if any) prior to and/or after the action taken by Sponsor or otherwise in a manner that Sponsor in its sole discretion determines is fair, appropriate and consistent with these Official Rules. In such event, Sponsor will post a notice to such effect on: https://piazza.origini.life/.

Dispute Resolution/Choice of Law

To the fullest extent permitted by law, each Entrant agrees that:

  • any and all disputes regarding the Contest or these Official Rules shall be governed by Swiss law and the courts of Lugano shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction;

  • any action will be brought by an Entrant individually (NOT as part of a class action); and

  • recovery in any such action is limited to actual costs involved in participating in the Contest (if any), with all rights to legal fees and any and all damages (including special, compensatory, punitive, consequential damages) being expressly waived.

If the preceding or any other provision of these Official Rules is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be replaced by a substitute provision that most closely approximates the original intent of Sponsor and is valid, legal and enforceable. In case of discrepancy between the English and the translated versions of these Contest Rules, the English version prevails. The invalidity/illegality/unenforceability of a given provision shall not affect the remainder of these Official Rules.
